Customer Experience

Dairy farmer Fred Hibbeler in Wangerland.

Fred Hibbeler is a dairy farmer on the North Sea coast in Lower Saxony. When he had one of our wind turbines installed on the North Sea coast four years ago, his expectations were high.

"The yield is 10% higher than the value calculated by Ecoways."

Seven years ago, Fred converted his business to organic farming. Optimizing the energy supply was the logical next step in order to position the company for future success. He farms over 50 hectares of land with 60 cows.

In the face of ever-rising energy prices, the decision to install the wind turbine is paying off day after day. But the farm also benefits at night: the milking robots don't take a break when the sun sets...fortunately, neither does the wind on the North Sea coast!

Stable energy, all year round.

On average, the system produces 3000 KW of electricity every month, and around 35000 KW over the year.

"We bought the system to become less dependent on standard energy. But we also wanted to give something back and invest in renewable energies. Especially in the wind-intensive months, the system covers a large part of this. That's why wind energy was our first choice. We have a consistently high electricity consumption and needed an energy solution that would provide us with a stable supply of electricity all year round."

Small wind turbines in Germany

Quiet as a whisper.

Any concerns regarding the aesthetics and noise level of the wind turbine were quickly dispelled. As Frank is very keen to preserve the peace and quiet between the dykes, the low noise pollution was another positive argument for the mill .

"The small turbine also blends in well visually with the landscape, and there is no trouble with the neighbors, it is pleasantly quiet. The animals don't get nervous either."

Wind & zon

You can't be self-sufficient with only solar energy. Wind energy is also needed. With a small windmill you can supply your farm with energy in the winter months, solar panels provide the necessary power in the summer months.

Wij zien over het algemeen de beste resultaten met de combinatie van 2/3 wind en 1/3 zon.

Fully mechanical

Our EAZ-model pitch-system is fully mechanical, adjusting the position of the rotor blades when the wind is too strong. This simple technology significantly reduces maintenance and malfunctions.

"We are very satisfied with the purchase of the Ecoways system. There have been no problems with operation so far. The simple technology keeps maintenance costs low and should remain so. I see this as another major advantage of the system."

Small wind turbine completely mechanical

I was able to completely hand over the approval process, which is why I bought from Ecoways.

The approval process.

In Germany in particular, many entrepreneurs shy away from the bureaucratic effort involved in converting to wind energy. Here, too, Hibbeler can give the all-clear:

"I was able to completely hand over the approval process, which is why I bought from Ecoways. We farmers already have enough trouble with bureaucracy."

With our expertise, the approval and installation of the turbine went smoothly without any disruption to the farm's operations. The wind turbine was erected in 1.5 days and delivery, organization and installation went smoothly. Fred can now look to the future with complete peace of mind when it comes to his wind turbine.
