Therefore, we have formulated and implemented a policy based on complete transparency with our customers, as well as website visitors, about the processing of personal data, its purpose(s), and the options for exercising your legal rights as effectively as possible.

Ecoways collects the following data: name and address details, contact details, and other data relevant to the execution of the agreement, such as providing a quote or location analysis, and any other personal data you voluntarily provide to us. The following data is explicitly requested in the form on the website:

Article 2 - Processing of personal data.

  1. Ecoways processes personal data in the context of the execution of agreements for the supply and installation of wind turbines. In addition, personal data is processed to serve the financial and/or commercial interests of Ecoways (quotations, invoicing, debt collection, customer database management, collecting feedback and reviews, personalized or non-personalized marketing, and any other legitimate business purposes). Ecoways also processes personal data to comply with its legal obligations, such as maintaining appropriate business records and responding to legitimate requests from government agencies and institutions.

    Ecoways processes your personal data on the following grounds:

- the execution of the agreement with you;
- to safeguard the legitimate interests of Ecoways;
- the consent you have given:
- compliance with legal obligations.

In relation to the use of the website, we process personal data to:

- Fulfilling your request. This may include conducting a location analysis, answering a question, or conducting further research into potential opportunities and problems in providing the requested service.

- Improve the website experience and show more relevant content to specific visitors and/or for specific user behavior

- Improve and tailor our advertising to specific users to provide more relevant content

- Internal analysis on how we can improve our processes and provide better service

If you have subscribed to our newsletter, you will receive an email four times a year with news and updates about Ecoways.

- When there is a legitimate interest, we will send you an irregular email with important updates regarding your request, for example, news in your municipality.

  1. Do we process your personal data based on your consent? You can withdraw your consent at any time. From that moment on, we will no longer process your personal data, unless there is another legal basis for processing your data. Withdrawing your consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.

  2. We occasionally share your personal data with other companies that help us provide our services. These companies have access to your personal data, but only when strictly necessary to perform their services. We do this on a strict need-to-know basis and ensure that we enter into agreements with these companies before sharing your personal data. These companies include, for example, business partners, such as our energy storage partner and suppliers (such as IT service providers) and subcontractors, professional advisors (such as tax, legal, or other business advisors who provide professional services to us), banks, advertising companies, and providers of analytics and search engine services that help us improve and optimize our Website and our services.

We also provide your personal data if disclosure is required by law or in connection with an investigation, regulation, judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process.

 

Article 3 - Security.

  1. We take both technical and organizational measures to secure the personal data we process. This ensures, for example, that this data is not lost and is protected against unauthorized use. For example, our website is secured with a reliable SSL certificate and that emails sent from Ecoways are additionally secured with TLS encryption.

  2. An example of an organizational measure is that we have implemented access controls to limit access to your personal data to those who need access to it for one of the purposes stated in this privacy statement. This means that only authorized employees have access to personal data.

 

Article 4 – Retention period.

  1. We retain your personal data for as long as necessary for the purpose for which we process it, but longer if necessary to comply with legal obligations or to defend ourselves in (legal) proceedings. Due to our legal administrative obligations, we retain your personal data for at least seven years.

 

Article 5 - Your rights regarding information.

Under Articles 16 through 21 of the GDPR, every data subject has the right to information about, access to, rectification, erasure, and restriction of processing of their personal data, as well as the right to object to processing and the right to data portability. Ecoways will respect your privacy rights in accordance with all applicable legal requirements.

To the extent that Ecoways relies on its legitimate interests to process your personal data, you also have the right to object to this use, unless Ecoways can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the use which override your interests, rights and freedoms or when we need to process the data for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.

    We will respond to your request as soon as possible and in accordance with applicable law. If a request is denied, the reason for the denial will be stated in our response.
